Words about Vic, from everyone who knew him and everyone who’s here because of him.

  1. I’m inspired by Vic’s story and the impact he made, both big and small. Al of it leads to a better tomorrow for everyone!

    Brigit M ·

  2. I'm here because Vivien, Vic's brother, told us about Vic's devotion to leaving the world better place than we find it, and that resonates in my soul as a wonderful way to live. I want to join Vic's and Vivien's vision❤️

    Lisa Engelhart ·

  3. Vic, I still can’t believe you’re gone, unfortunately being in the wrong place at the wrong time didn’t allow your fit healthy body to save you from this tragic event. My heartfelt sympathy goes to your family. Thank you for being such a great work colleague, logical, smart, efficient and dedicated. What a legend- The Maestro. I immensely enjoyed our shared passion of the great outdoors and sharing each other’s stories on the latest hiking or biking adventures, trip stats and future plans. I will truely miss your company on the mountain bike rides, listening to you grunt and groan up those endless switchbacks and the joyous yippee on the downhill jumps. The more challenging the ride, the bigger the smile, just loving the outdoors. Every ride will remind me of you and the good times we had. The world is a better place because you were here. Ride on, my friend.

Your friend and riding buddy, Heather Hutcheson ·

  4. Vic was a truly special person I had the privilege of knowing and collaborating with for over thirty years. His passing is devastating. Amongst many memories of Vic I will miss "I've fixed your spreadsheet" echos loudly.

  5. We first met Vic when he joined outrigging in 2009. He was the perfect club person. Would paddle in any position, always helped out in any scenario and put his hand up to be our treasurer and had continued this role for many many years. His adventurous spirit is something we totally relate too and loved to listen to what hike or ride he had done or was planning to do. Vic you made your mark on this world and anytime we pick up rubbish, or recycle a can or hop on our bikes you will always be in our thoughts.

  6. I didn't know Vic well; to me, he was always just the Dad of two of my friends. Now, I wish I'd gotten to know him better.
